About the University

Academically renowned and internationally connected, Effat University is the first private institution of higher education in Saudi Arabia.

Everything we do stems from Queen Effat’s lifelong work and vision. Seen as the founding mother of education in KSA, she broke new ground in establishing it as one of the cornerstones on which our nation is built.

Queen Effat believed passionately that education should be holistic and go hand-in-hand with traditional Islamic values and respect for all human beings. She embraced extra-curricular activities as part of a well-rounded education and understood the importance of keeping abreast of modern technological advances and of what could be learned from, and shared through international partnerships.

Her legacy of excellence and passion for education lives on at Effat University​ today. We provide a protective, safe environment in which our students are inspired and motivated to acquire that same passion for life-long advancement, which is passed on from generation to generation.
